Background
Expanded Avoid Common Errors 2023-03 (E-ACE) language has been added to the CalFresh handbook, E-ACE 23-03 is obsolete.
Changes
Changing the 30 day period at application and example has been added to chapter 34 - Verification.
CARMA
Quality Assurance will cite, using the new error elements below, when it is unclear why the 30 day period was changed and why income outside of the standard 30 day period is not used.
Denials will be cited, if the journal entry is not clear why verifications provided by the household were not explored as being sufficient for the eligibility determination.

Both active and negative CalFresh Case Review Forms (SCD 949, SCD 949N) are revised with new error elements.
Supervisors
Supervisors are encouraged to also use the new CARMA error elements when conducting monthly CalFresh case reviews.
