Background

Mid‑period reporting refers to changes that occur outside of the regular reporting cycle, either reported directly by CalFresh households or initiated by the county when new information becomes available. With the implementation of simplified reporting and SAR, California chose to act only on certain mid‑period reports that increase a household’s CalFresh benefits, and not act on certain reports that decrease benefits.
