Background

Effective July 1, 2024, Assembly Bill (AB) 120 requires a reminder notice to be sent to CalWORKs recipients whose cases are scheduled to discontinue for failure to complete the annual redetermination.

Changes

A new Redetermination Reminder Notice (M40-181G) was created to meet this requirement.

A sub-section about M40-181G has been added to the Redetermination Actions topic of CalWORKs Handbook Chapter 11: Redeterminations.

Data Systems

As of July 2024, CalSAWS automatically generates M40-181G in batch.
