Background

Department of Health Care Services has provided counties with the annual 2024 supplemental security income, state supplementary payment levels, and related cost of living adjustment value changes.

Changes

Effective January 1, 2024, the following values are updated in their respective Chart Book tables:

Community Spouse Income Allowance (CSIA)

Federal Benefits Rate (FBR)
Pickle Disregard Computation Chart
Presumed Maximum Value (PMV)
Value of One-third Reduction (VTR)
SSI Payment Standards
Medicare Part A and Part B Premiums/Deductibles
Substantial Gains Activity (SGA)

Data Systems

CalSAWS has been programmed with these changes on December 3, 2023, for the January 2024 benefit month.

Forms

The Medi-Cal budget Calculation Chart (SCD 1470) and the CW-CF-MC Limits Chart (SCD 2338) are updated with these changes.
