Background

The Department of Health Care Services has provided the annual cost of living adjustment for unearned income and Medicare premiums/deductibles value changes for 2025.

Changes

Effective January 1, 2025, the following values have been updated in their respective Chart Book tables: 

• Annual COLA for Unearned Income
• Medicare Part A and Part B premiums and Deductibles
• Substantial Gainful Activity (SGA)

Data Systems

CalSAWS will be programmed with these changes on December 8, 2024, for the January 2025 benefit month.

Forms

The Medi-Cal Budget Calculation Chart (SCD 1470), and the CW-CF-MC Limits Chart (SCD 2338) are updated to reflect these changes.
