Background
The Department of Health Care Services has provided the annual Social Security value changes and related Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) for 2025.
Changes
Effective January 1, 2025, the following values have been updated in their respective Chart Book tables:
- Annual COLA for Unearned Income
- Medicare Part A and Part B Premiums and Deductibles
- Substantial Gainful Activity (SGA)
- Pickle Disregard Computation Chart
- SSI/SSP Payment Levels
- SSI Standard Allocation
- In-Kind Support and Maintenance Values for Determining Pickle
- Presumed Maximum Value (PMV)
- Value of One-Third Reduction (VTR)
- Federal Benefit Rate (FBR)
Data Systems
CalSAWS will be programmed with these changes on December 8, 2024, for the January 2025 benefit month.
Forms
The Medi-Cal Budget Calculation Chart (SCD 1470), and the CW-CF-MC Limits Chart (SCD 2338) are updated to reflect these changes.
