IRT Tiers 1 & 2 Exempt and Non-Exempt

The CalWORKs IRT amount for each assistance is the lesser of Tier 1 or Tier 2 below.
- Tier 1: $1,184 (55% of the FPL for a family of three) plus the amount of income last used to calculate the AU's monthly benefits; or
- Tier 2: The amount of income likely to render the AU of that size ineligible for CalFresh benefits, or 130% of the FPL, as shown in the chart below.
