- Access their Social Security Statement to check earnings and get benefit estimates.
- Change address and phone number.
- Start or change direct deposit.
- Replace Social Security Cards.
- Get a benefit verification letter.
Note: For information on how to request a benefit verification letter, refer to the Social Security Benefits Letter section in the Social Security Administration (SSA) Overview.

To create or access an online account go to the SSA website to Create An Account or Sign in.
Replacement Of Social Security Cards
EWs must not refer clients to the Social Security Administration Field Offices for Social Security card replacements. SSA will not provide printouts of Social Security numbers.
Clients may request a replacement social security card in the following ways:
- Online via my Social Security account.
- Clients may complete Form SS-5. The form can be found online at https://www.ssa.gov/ssnumber/. Clients will need to provide documents proving their identity, age, and citizenship or lawful immigration status.
- Clients may take, or mail their completed application and original documents to any Social Security Administration Field Office. After processing the application, the original documents will be returned to the client.
