Background
The Work Number (TWN) is a credit report service used to help secure verification of income and hours when necessary to determine initial and ongoing eligibility, as well as for program integrity in the CalWORKs and CalFresh programs. This update provides clarification to changes when using TWN.
Changes
The Bank and Employment Verifications topic in Common Place Handbook Chapter 2 has been re-titled to: Employment, The Worker Number, and Bank Verifications. The topic has been reformatted.
Part of the revisions include usage types for TWN and the direction to only select a 3-month time frame when requesting a report, otherwise, justification must be documented in the case journal.
