Update 2024-10: USCIS SAVE Online System

Common Place Handbook

Date References Clerical Implementation
09/16/2024 N/A N/A Immediately

Background

SAVE Super Users located at District Offices who serve as SAVE Liaisons processed new registrations for the SAVE Online System. Eligibility staff who could request SAVE Online System access were new SAVE Super Users, all Eligibility Worker (EW) IIIs assigned to an intake office, and EW III leads assigned to a continuing unit.

Changes

Effective immediately, the CalSAWS Application Triage and Support (CATS) team will process all SAVE Online System registrations. To request or change access, use the System Application Access Request Form (SCD 159) and email the completed form to CATS at applicationregform@ssa.sccgov.org.

SAVE Online System Role Changes

With CATS overseeing registration, there is no longer a need for SAVE Liaisons to be Super Users. SAVE Liaisons and continuing EW IIIs will have their roles updated to General User and be able to view cases submitted by others; intake EW IIIs will only be able to view cases they initiated on their own. CATS will perform a one-time clean-up listing; SAVE users who no longer fall under the criteria to have SAVE access will be removed.

Data Systems

Users can access the SAVE Online System at www.myaccount.uscis.gov/sign-in. Resources on using the SAVE Online System have been added to the Program Bureau webpage under System Reference Materials. All system-related guidance has been removed from the SAVE Online System topic in the Common Place Handbook.
