Incoming and Outgoing ICPC Requests
Incoming Intake ICPC Request
The following process for an Incoming Intake ICPC Request for both federal and non-federally eligible children:
- DFCS ICPC Coordinator
- Sends ICPC application packet to FC Clerical.
- FC Clerical
- Receives packet.
- Completes application registration.
- Forwards packet to Intake.
- FC Intake
- Reviews
- ICPC 100A
- ICPC 100B
- MC 250
- MC 13 (when applicable)
- Approves ICPC Medi-Cal application for federal cases only.
- Performs BLO for federal FC out-of-state (aid code 46).

Note: Incoming non-federally eligible cases are not eligible for Medi-Cal. The ICPC Coordinator must verify the sending state is providing Medicaid to this population.

- Informs the ICPC Coordinator that Medi-Cal is active.
- Documents all actions in a CalSAWS journal entry.
- Forwards NOA approval to ICPC Coordinator.
- Forwards case to FC Control Clerk for case assignment.
- Reviews
Outgoing ICPC Request for Continuing FC EWs
The following Process for Outgoing ICPC Request
- FC EW
- Completes SCD 692 and returns a copy to the assigned SW.
- Checks EW Tools for rate.
- Completes an SCD 2213 and forwards to FCE MA when rate is not available.
- If Federal
- Verifies ICPC 100A and ICPC 100B.
- The relative must complete the following form: SCD 1383.
- Verifies rate.
- Verifies FC placement meets the state’s requirements.
- Updates the appropriate CalSAWS pages.
- Forwards documents to the state’s ICPC coordinator.
- Verifies ICPC 100A and ICPC 100B.
- If State
- Verifies ICPC 100A and 100B.
- The relative must complete the following form: SCD 1383.
- Verifies rate.
- Verifies FC placements meets the state’s requirements.
- Updates the appropriate CalSAWS windows.
- Clears MEDS/CalSAWS alerts.
- Completes SCD 1296 entering MEDS code “99” in the Residence field and forwards request to MTO.
- Forwards documents to the state’s ICPC coordinator.
- Verifies ICPC 100A and 100B.
