Underpayments/Overpayments
CalSAWS will calculate underpayments and overpayments. The system should be utilized to determine the adjusted benefit at all times. This includes closed cases. In certain situations a claim may be created outside of CalWIN however, the information must still be entered into the system manually.
For the most part, underpayments are treated the same for FC, AAP, and the Kin-GAP Program. However, there are significant differences in the treatment of overpayments for each of the programs. The differences will be noted in the following sections of this chapter.
