Managed Care Disenrollment When Entering LTC
When a recipient enters LTC and is already enrolled in a Managed Care Plan, instruct the AR to contact the Health Care Options contractor requesting an LTC waiver. The State may want to see the LTC aid code in MEDS prior to removing the Managed Care coding.
Responsible Relative
In determining MC eligibility and share of cost, if one or both spouse/same-sex spouse/RDPs is in LTC, both spouse/same-sex spouse/RDP’s income and property is considered available in determining each other’s eligibility and SOC.
