Alleged Disability
If a refugee claims to be disabled as part of their RMA application, a disability referral must be sent to Disability Determination Service Division (DDSD) even if the refugee is RMA eligible. If disability is established by DDSD during the twelve-month RMA period and the refugee is otherwise eligible for MC, he/she must be set up in the appropriate MC program immediately.
