9506 - SDX Has Assumed Responsibility for this Record - Alert

This alert is generated when SSA has approved the recipient for SSI/SSP and has taken control of the MEDS record. The code in the GOVT-RSP field is changed from ‘1’ to ‘2’.

The alert has triggered an automatic action in CalSAWS to update the Collect Individual SSI/SSP Detail window and discontinue the recipient’s Medi-Cal eligibility.

Action Required

The EW must confirm that the person’s name contained on the alert matches that of our recipient and review the Other Program Assistance Detail and EDBC Results pages to ensure Medi-Cal is properly discontinued by the automatic action. If the recipient receives other program’s benefit (i.e., General Assistance, CalWORKs, etc.), follow a specific program policy to terminate the received benefit.

• If YES, no further action is required.
• If NO, update the Other Program Assistance Detail page with the SSI/SSP approval information and run EDBC. Review EDBC results to ensure Medi-Cal is discontinued.
