Possible Screen to Resolve This Alert
The INQM screenThe INQM screen indicates more than six months of TMC eligibility under Aid Code 39. MEDS generated a termination date for the end of the current month and entered the TERM-REAS of ‘ZZ’. Since this termination reason is not one that prevents Edwards; the eligibility rolled into Edwards status with an Aid Code of 38.
Action Required
The EW must review the case to ensure TMC eligibility is terminated in CalSAWS.
- If NOT, complete the necessary entries in CalSAWS to discontinue TMC and transfer the recipient to another aid category as otherwise eligible.
- If TMC has already been discontinued in CalSAWS and the recipient is not eligible under another program, submit an SCD 1296 requesting the MTO to terminate the record on MEDS.
Refer to the MC HB Chapter 26: Transitional Medi-Cal/Four-Month Continuing (TMC), for more information.
