9548 - Over 2 Months Extended Elig - Medi-Cal Determ Overdue - Critical

This alert is generated when a client previously Medi-Cal eligible in a category not administered by counties (e.g., former SSI/SSP) has been in an Extended Eligible (EE) status pending county completion of an SB87 Medi-Cal redetermination process for MORE THAN 2 months.

These clients are temporarily placed in Aid Codes 1E, 2E or 6E until the EW can determine continued Medi-Cal eligibility.

Action Required

The EW must take immediate action to complete the SB87 process and take the following action:

  • Establish client’s eligibility for Medi-Cal under another Aid Code, OR
  • Terminate eligibility under the EE Aid Code (if ineligible for ongoing Medi-Cal).
