Alien Date of Entry. This field identifies the reported month/year the alien entered the United States or the month and year of residence in the United States. This field may be provided by counties, the Buy-In Unit, or by the SDX file when the SDX file identifies a recipient as an alien and there is either an alien date of residence or a date of application present on the SDX file. The data is also used for the Refugee Tracking System and for Buy-In.The identification of Refugees and Non-citizens enables DHCS to obtain federal reimbursement for their expenses under the Medi-Cal Program. This field can be viewed from INQE screen.
