PGM

Program Eligibility Indicator. This field identifies what program(s) a recipient was, is or will be eligible for. The six Program Categories are:

M

Regular Medi-Cal, Full-Scope Special Percentage Programs for children and County Medical Services Program (CMSP) eligibility. Relevant data is displayed on the INQM screen.

Special Program Eligibility (e.g., Minor Consent, Postpartum, Out-of-State Foster Care, QMB, Healthy Families, TB, etc.). Relevant data is displayed on the INQ1 screen.

Special Program Eligibility (e.g., the same programs listed in (1) plus Dialysis and Parenteral Hyperalimentation). Relevant data is displayed on the INQ2 screen.

Special Program Eligibility (e.g., the same programs listed in (2). Relevant data is displayed on the INQ3 screen.

FS

Food Stamp eligibility. Relevant data is displayed on the INQF screen.

CW

CalWORKs cash grant eligibility. Relevant data is displayed on the INQM screen.

There are four Program Eligibility Indicators that can be found in the individual program categories of the [PGM] field. They are:

Indicates current month program eligibility

F

Indicates future pending program eligibility (the future month after pending program eligibility month).

H

Indicates historical program eligibility

P

Indicates pending program eligibility

These Program Eligibility Indicators are part of a 4 alpha-position code. The presence of a character indicates eligibility information on the database; the absence (blank) of a character indicates no eligibility information. Refer to examples below:

CPH

Indicates current, pending and historical eligibility.

C H

Indicates current and historical eligibility information only - no pending information

The ‘1’, ‘2’ and ‘3’ Program Categories have additional descriptors to further identify the type of eligibility contained on that particular screen. These special program descriptors are:
