Background

RTerm Reason "99" is defined as "Other than 01-98 above" on MEDS Quick Reference Guide (QRG) and it is allowed on online Eligibility Worker (EW) transactions. 

Changes

MEDS no longer accepts Term Reason "99" on any online EW Transactions, an appropriate Term Reason 01-98 is to be used. The change to disallow Term Reason "99" only applies to online EW transactions that have term reason as a valid field for input. The EW batch transactions will not be affected, and Term Reason "99" will be allowed.

MEDS Quick Reference Guide (QRG) is updated to describe Term Reason "99" as for internal SAWS use only.

Implementation

The change in this Update is effective upon receipt.

Handbooks

MEDS Handbook Chapter 12, Section TERM-REAS has been updated to reflect the change.
