Quality Assurance

This is an internal audit review process on cases intended to be preventive in nature to prevent future errors from occurring. This mitigating measure is used to identify problematic areas and error trends before they affect the Federal, State or County error rate and to avoid errors that have already occurred to continue for the next month. These types of reviews are conducted on a specified number of cases selected.

Within the QA reviews, there are several types of reviews: Desk, RTF, Re-Reviews, Supervisor Reviews, etc. These reviews are performed randomly by the Quality Assurance Unit.

  • Desk Review -- A review on an approved/ open program/case that is performed by the QA Unit.
  • RTF-Negative -- A review on a denied, terminated, or discontinued case that is performed by the QA Unit.
  • Supervisor Re-Review -- A re-review of the completed supervisor reviews that is performed by the QA Unit.
  • Review Task Force (RTF) -- A review on an approved or denied/ discontinued program/case that is performed by the QA Unit within a specific error prone area.
