CFET/Third Party/Community Based Organization (CBO) CalSAWS Referral Process

Refer CFET participants to an external CFET provider or work2future Career Center at client’s request. Referrals for GA VS participants to CFET external partners will be made by the VS unit ECs.

1. Assess the CalFresh client to determine the most appropriate CFET provider for referral. Obtain verbal client consent before making the referral.
2. Complete a CFET Third-Party Partner referral through the DEBS Referral Application. Refer to the DEBS Referral Application User Guide.
3. Complete a Case Journal entry in CalSAWS documenting that the client provided consent prior to sending the referral. The entry should also include the contact information for the client and the name of the CFET Provider that the Referral was sent to.
