ABAWD Exemptions
CF benefit recipients may be exempted (excused) from the ABAWD time limit if they meet any of the following criteria:
- Under 18 or over 54 years of age
- Responsible for the care of a child or incapacitated household member
- Pregnant
- Medically certified as physically or mentally unfit for work
- Chronically homeless
- Struggling with drug/alcohol addiction
- Victims of domestic violence
- Receiving disability-based benefits
- Receiving or applied for unemployment benefits
- Attending college at least half-time and meeting student requirements.
- Individuals experiencing homelessness
- Veterans
- Foster Youth
The ABAWD time limit is currently waived statewide.
