Job Search Training
Job Search Training is a part of the Supervised Job Search component that enhances the job readiness of participants by teaching them job seeking techniques, increasing job search motivation, and boosting self–confidence. Job Search Training may consist of job skills assessments, and other direct training or support activities. These are distinct from “work readiness” activities, which are included in the education component.
This activity includes but is not limited to:
- Occupational assessment,
- Remedial and entry-level job skills training,
- Online Job Search Tools,
- Resume building,
- Interview skills coaching,
- Customized and institutional skill training,
- Self-improvement training,
- Mock interviews, and/or
- Work readiness workshops.
Job Search Training differs from Supervised Job Search because of the need to conduct training activities.
