Update 23-02: Changes to Safe at Home Program

Background
The Safe at Home (SAH) program helps victims and survivors of domestic violence or stalking to remain safe from an abusive situation by allowing them to use a confidential Sacramento Post Office Box address in place of their home, work, or school address.
Changes
Senate Bill 1131 expanded the SAH program to include individuals who face violence, harassment, or threats of violence from the public because of their work for a public entity.
Individuals who want to enroll in the SAH program must contact a designated enrolling agency found at the Secretary of State website.
The following sub-section has been revised in Common Place Handbook Chapter 13:
Implementation
This Update is effective immediately.

Supervisors must review the information in this Update at the next Unit Meeting.
