[40-128.2, 45-202.123]

Reevaluation of deprivation is no longer required after the initial determination. Good faith efforts are made by contacting the assigned SW/PO or LG to obtain current information regarding the parents or guardians.

All good faith efforts completed by the FC EW must be documented in a CalSAWS journal entry.

Whereabouts Unknown

When the whereabouts of the parent(s)/guardian(s) is unknown it must be documented in a CalSAWS journal entry when processing the RD. The following information must be added to the journal:

  • No address on current FC 2 and most recent court report, and
  • E-mail or other documentation received from the SW/PO which confirms that there is no known address.

Uncooperative Parent(s)/Guardian(s)

When the whereabouts of the parents or guardians are known but they are uncooperative, good faith efforts that were made by the FC EW must be documented in a CalSAWS journal.
