Foster Care Redeterminations
Foster Care Redeterminations (RDs) are completed annually by the Placement SW or PO. The RD must be completed by the LG when there is no placement worker. All RDs must be processed by FC EW based on documents received from SW, PO or LGs to continue paying AFDC-FC funds.
Redeterminations are also known as reevaluation and reassessments thus the term redetermination/reevaluation/reassessments or (RRR). This term is interchangeable with RD. This chapter will use the term RD for the FC redetermination process.
