Miscellaneous Terminology
Home on Trial: A minor who is "home on trial" is still a JPD child. The duration of period on trial is indefinite depending on circumstances. This is NOT considered a Final Stop.
In Custody: Minor not in placement, but still under the responsibility of JPD and resides at Juvenile Hall.
Run Away: Minor in Run Away status.
Failing a Program: Minor's situation did not improve with attempted JPD program.
Incarcerated: Minor at the Ranch, in Juvenile Hall or CDCR/DJJ.
RH/FH/PIP: A minor may receive this order and therefore be pending placement in a Relative Home/Foster Home/Private Institutional Placement.
