Task Assignments

These are general guidelines for FC Clerical when making TMT assignments after IDing a case. A task assignment can only be created when there is a CalSAWS case number.

Note: This process is subject to change at the discretion of the FC Program Manager.

  1. DFCS/FC EW, etc...
    1. Sends documents by e-mail, fax,  etc.
  2. FC Clerical
    1. Document has been identified with CalSAWS case numbers and are ready for assignment.
    2. If it is a Closed Case,
      1. Assign to Cont'g. FC EW, if closed less than a month.
      2. Forward to document to Triage FC EW for evaluation if closed more than one month or it is a new episode.
    3. If FC/KG/AAP is discontinued or denied and MC is open but document is related to a discontinued or denied program, then
      1. Assign to Cont'g. FC EW, if closed less than a month.
      2. Forward document to Triage FC EW for evaluation if closed more than one month or it is a new episode.
    4. If Open with one child, then
      1. Assign to the next available worker.
    5. If Open with multiple children
      1. Assign to the same worker when the sibling case/s have existing assignment.
      2. Assign all siblings to the same worker.
    6. If Open with multiple related documents, then
      1. Assign task for each document.
    7. If Open with multiple unrelated documents, then
      1. Assign tasks.
    8. If urgent Open but the FC EW with assignment is not available, then
      1. Assign new task to next available worker.
    9. If Open and part of a list, then
      1. Equally divide the list.
      2. Assign list to the Cont'g. FC EW.
    10. If Open task currently assigned, then
      1. Assign the new task to the FC EW with the current assignment.
