Specialized Adaptive Equipment
All specialized adaptive equipment, including wheelchairs and other devices, required for use by an MC applicant or recipient are exempt property and are not included in the property reserve.
Specialized adaptive equipment is exempt as:
- A household item if used to equip a home, or
- A personal effect.
Specially Equipped Motor Vehicle
When determining the value of a motor vehicle that is specially equipped for a disabled person, the special equipment is not considered to increase the value of the vehicle.
