9571 - Exceeds 12 Month RMA Elig - Medi-Cal Determination Needed - Action

This alert is generated when the client’s RMA eligibility benefits have exceeded 12 months and Medi-Cal eligibility determination is necessary.

Action Required

• Action must be taken immediately to evaluate the client for other potential MC programs. Under no circumstances should refugee assistance be extended beyond the twelve-month time period.
• A timely NOA must be issued when the client is discontinued from RCA/RMA.
• Review the case to determine if an overpayment has occurred for RCA/RMA received beyond the twelve-month time limit.
