9001 - Outstanding Overpayment - Eligibility Reestablished - Urgent

This alert is generated whenever a MEDS or CDB record is reopened and there is an Overpayment Recovery Indicator of ‘1’, ‘2’ or ‘3’ present in the Recovery field on the closed MEDS/CDB record.

The Overpayment Recovery Indicator values and their definitions are:

When the record is reopened, MEDS automatically issues an alert to both the county who is establishing eligibility and the prior county (the county which reported the overpayment/overissuance).

Action Required

The Eligibility Worker (EW) must contact the EW of the prior county listed on the alert for information on the overpayment/overissuance. Possible recovery action may be required.
