9576 - Incomplete Case Record - Citizen/Alien Indicator Code - Action

This alert is generated when a Citizen/Alien Indicator Code field on MEDS INQE screen is missing.

Action Required

MUST enter an Alien Number on the A Number field for documented non-citizens on the Individual Demographics Detail page and/or the Citizenship Status Detail page.
Check to ensure a correct citizen or non-citizen information, entered on the Individual Demographics Detail page and/or the Citizenship Status Detail page.
- If correct, submit an SCD 1296 to request an EW12 transaction to update on INQE screen:
  - a CITIZEN/ALIEN-IND code, for citizens or,
  - a CITIZEN/ALIEN-IND code, ENTRY-GRANTP-DATE, COUNTRY-OF-ORIGIN, and ALIEN-NO, for documented non-citizens or,
  - a CITIZEN/ALIEN-IND code and COUNTRY-OF-ORIGIN, for undocumented non-citizens.
    - For a list of the code and other immigration information, refer to MEDS QRG.
- If incorrect, enter a correct citizen/non-citizen information, run EBDC and accept and save the results. Then, check MEDS in two working days. If needed, submit an SCD 1296 as required.
