Referrals to TOA Experts

Referrals to the TOA Experts may be done for:

  • Fair Hearings based on TOA issues, 
  • Problems with child support unticking of TOA clocks,
  • TOA related issues on closed cases, including ICTs and requests from other counties and states. 

Note: In situations where the information in CalSAWS is correct, yet is not being reflected accurately in the Time on Aid windows or CalSAWS is not interfacing properly with TRAC, a GadWIN ticket must be created. 

When a TOA referral to the Expert TOA worker is required, the EW must submit a completed “TOA Review Referral” (SCD 146) indicating why the referral is being made. The EW Supervisor must review the referral and sign the SCD 146 prior to sending it to the Expert TOA worker. The email to send the SCD 146 is SCC_TOA_Requests@ssa.sccgov.org.

Requests for Online Corrections

When a request for online corrections to the MTO is required, the EW must submit a “Request for Online Transaction” (SCD 1296) form along with the relevant TRAC screen prints.

  • If the request is being made to add or delete months from the TRAC time clock, the PSUM screen must be submitted with the SCD 1296.
  • If the request is being made to change, add or delete an exemption or extender, the PSUM and ESUM screen must be submitted with the SCD 1296.
