1 - Employable Individual Referral Process

The process below is to be followed when a referral is received from an Eligibility Worker:

 

  1. VS Clerical
    1. Prints Orientation roster (according to internal procedures) to be used for checking-in participants, and forwards a copy to EW Supervisors to ensure all participants have been scheduled.
    2. Checks-in participants
      1. Enters form of ID on the Orientation list.
      2. Issues a manual ticket (GF-number).
      3. Instructs participant to wait in lobby to be called- in for Orientation.
      4. Forwards Orientation roster to Employment Counselor (EC) Officer of the Day (OD) for assignment, (once all participants are checked-in).
      5. Once the assignment is completed, scans and emails Orientation Roster with Assignments to VS Unit - Copy to EW.
    3. NOTE: Participants who arrive late will be scheduled for the next available Orientation (following internal procedures).

  2. EC (Back-Up OD)
    1. Assigns participants  to an EC. 
    2. Notates “Did not Show” (DNS) on Orientation roster, for participants who do not register.
    3. Returns the updated Orientation roster.
  3. VS Clerical
    1. Scans copy of completed Orientation list and emails to all eligibility staff and ECS.
