Federal Eligibility

[EAS 42-762.7, 82-836.15]

A pregnant Cal-Learn teen with no other children (AU of one) is federally eligible for CalWORKs and is paid a federal Pregnancy Special Need (PSN) for the entire length of the pregnancy.

Confidentiality

The Cal-Learn Case Managers (CMs) may contact the EW if specific concerns arise regarding the teen parent's CalWORKS case. If contacted, the EW may respond to the Cal-Learn CM without having a signed release of information. The information requested must be necessary in order to administer the Cal-Learn program.
