Federal Eligibility

[EAS 42-762.7, 82-836.15]

A pregnant Cal-Learn teen with no other children (AU of one) is federally eligible for CalWORKs and is paid a federal Pregnancy Special Need (PSN) for the entire length of the pregnancy.

Confidentiality

The Cal-Learn Case Managers (CMs) may contact the Social Services Benefits Specialist (SSBS) if specific concerns arise regarding the teen parent's CalWORKS case. If contacted, the SSBS may respond to the Cal-Learn CM without having a signed release of information. The information requested must be necessary in order to administer the Cal-Learn program.
