Extended Eligibility

The Extended Eligibility report categories are listed in Sections below. These beneficiaries can be identified on MEDS with Aid Codes 1E, 2E, or 6E. Two possible alert messages are generated for clients with records in the Extended Eligibility category:

SB87-BCCTP

SB 87 - Breast and Cervical Cancer Treatment Program. These recipients receive extended eligibility for breast cancer while the county is determining their eligibility for another program.

SB87-SSI-DAC

SB 87 - SSI Disabled Adult Child. These recipients receive extended eligibility after they have lost their State Supplementary Income/State Supplementary Payment (SSI/SSP) cash benefits and are a disabled adult child. These recipients can be identified on MEDS with a Pickle type of T.

SB87-SSI-DW

SB 87 - SSI Disabled Widow(er). These recipients receive extended eligibility after they have lost their SSI/SSP and are a disabled widow(er). These recipients can be identified in MEDS with a Pickle type of W.

SB87-SSI-LTC

SB 87 - SSI Long Term Care. These recipients receive extended eligibility after they have lost their SSI/SSP and are a patient in a hospital or nursing home receiving long term care. These recipients can be identified on MEDS with a Pickle status of L.

SB87-SSI-NLDA

SB 87 - SSI No Longer Disabled Adult. These adult recipients receive extended eligibility after they have lost their SSI/SSP and no longer meet the disability criteria set by the Social Security Administration. These recipients can be identified on MEDS with a Pickle indicator of D5.

SB87-SSI-NLDC

SB 87 - SSI No Longer Disabled Child. These child recipients receive extended eligibility after they have lost their SSI/SSP and no longer meet the disability criteria set by the Social Security Administration. These recipients can be identified on MEDS with a Pickle indicator of D4.

SB87-SSI-OTHER

SB 87 - SSI No Longer Disabled Other. These recipients receive extended eligibility after they have lost their SSI/SSP and do not fit into the other listed SSI categories. These recipients can be identified on MEDS with a Pickle type of X.

SB87-SSI-PICKLE

SB 87 - SSI No Longer Disable Pickle. These recipients receive extended eligibility after they have lost their SSI/SSP due to a COLA. These recipients can be identified on MEDS with a Pickle type of C.
