This alert is generated when the individual’s identity is successfully verified through SSN data match via the SSA Citizenship Verification process.

If the identity information is NOT present or present at a lower level (e.g., 5A, 7Z), MEDS will update the Identity DOC-TYPE to 2Z and DOC-SOURCE to SS on the INQE screen.

Action Required

None. A successful SSN match fulfills the DRA citizenship and identity requirements. No further documentation is needed from the applicant or beneficiary for this purpose.

The EW needs to ensure the identity document type in CalSAWS and MEDS matched.
