9052 - Citizen Status Changed to Non Citizen While Citizen Ver Pending - Alert

This alert is generated when the citizenship status on the CITIZEN/ALIEN-IND field has been changed to a non-citizenship code. Valid U.S. citizenship values are A, B, N, Q, or 5.

SSA only provides citizenship/identity verification if an applicant or beneficiary declares that he/she is a U.S. citizen.

Action Required

Verify that the citizenship declaration on the CITIZEN/ALIEN-IND field is accurate. If not, enter the correct information in CalSAWS to indicate citizenship. Wait at least two business days in order for the SSA data match process to repeat.
No further action is required if the applicant/beneficiary is not a U.S. citizen. DRA citizenship/identity requirements do not apply to non-citizen clients.
