9050 - Citizenship/Identity Not Verified Via SSA Data Match - Action

This alert is generated when an attempt was made to verify the individual’s citizenship and identity via the SSA Verification process, but the result came back as unverified.

Action Required

  • No further action is required if the individual is exempt from DRA citizenship/ identity requirements, OR, if there is already citizenship/identity documentation recorded for this person on MEDS.
  • If the individual is not exempt or already met the DRA requirements, take the following actions:
    • Check and correct any errors in the name, date of birth, SSN or declaration of citizenship. If the client’s information is updated or corrected, wait at least two business days in order for the SSA data match process to repeat.
    • If there is no mismatching information as stated above, initiate the process for requesting acceptable DRA documentation of citizenship and identity from the client.
    • Refer the client to SSA via form MC194 to resolve the mismatch/inconsistent information, if necessary.
