DEBS Offices
The locations and functions of DEBS offices are as follows:
- Assistance Application Center (AAC): Located at 1867 Senter Road, San Jose. AAC processes Intake applications for CalWORKs, Food Stamps, Medi-Cal, and other related programs.
- Administrative Support Bureau (ASB): Located at 333 W. Julian Street, San Jose. ASB reviews the work of district office line staff related to Income Eligibility Verification System (IEVS) and processes Appeals requests.
- Corrective Action Bureau (CAB): Located at 333 W. Julian Street, San Jose. CAB oversees the implementation of corrective action strategies and establishment of guidelines for federal and state case reviews.
- Continuing Benefit Services (CBS): Located at 1870 Senter Road, San Jose. CBS processes Continuing Benefits for the CalWORKs, Food Stamps, and Medi-Cal programs.
- Foster Care Eligibility Bureau: Located at 373 W. Julian 5th Floor, San Jose. This Bureau processes Intake and Continuing Foster Care cases, Adoption Assistance Program, KinGap and Medi-Cal for current and former FC children.
- General Assistance (GA) Bureau: Located at 1919 Senter Road, San Jose. This office processes Intake and Continuing GA, Food Stamps, and Medi-Cal cases.
- Benefits Service Center (BSC): Located at 1867 Senter Road, San Jose. This office is a call center that processes Continuing Medi-Cal and Food Stamp cases.
- North County District Office: Located at 1330 W Middlefield Rd, Mountain View. This office processes Intake and Continuing cases for CalWORKs, Food Stamp, and Medi-Cal programs and Employment Services.
- CalWORKs Employment Services (CWES): Located at 1879 Senter Road. This office processes Intake and Continuing cases for employment-related services. CWES offices are also stationed at North and South County District.
- South County District Office: Located at 379 Tomkins Court in Gilroy. This office processes Intake and Continuing cases for CalWORKs, Food Stamps, and Medi-Cal programs and Employment Services.
- Medi-Cal Benefits Assistance (MBA): Located at 650 South Bascom Avenue, Suite A, San Jose. This office processes Intake and Continuing Medi-Cal cases. MBA also oversees several off-site clinics that process Medi-Cal applications. The names and locations of the clinics are as follows:
- Comprecare Health Center: 3030 Alum Rock Avenue, San Jose
- Gardner Health Center: 195 E. Virginia Street, San Jose
- St. James Health Center: 55 East Julian Street, San Jose
- East Valley Health Center: 1993 McKee Road, San Jose
- Tully Valley Health Center: 500 Tully Road, San Jose
- Bascom Valley Health Center: 750 S. Bascom Avenue in San Jose
