Assigning Pending Cases
When a case in pending status is assigned to an EW, the Send Pending Application Updates to MEDS window must be completed, in addition to completing the Manage Case Assignment window. Otherwise, the system doesn’t automatically send an AP34 transaction to MEDS to update the EW Number. As a result, MEDS alerts remain in the control number until the case is approved or denied by the EW. Click here for step by step instructions on how to send the update to MEDS.
