Incomplete Pending Applications

The following process is for incomplete physical paper applications that are missing essential information, and application registration cannot be completed in CalSAWS.

  1. Reviews the application and determines if there are missing information and unable to complete application registration in CalSAWS.
  2. Makes the first attempt to contact the applicant via phone, and
    1. If the Client Responds, then
      1. Completes application registration in CalSAWS.
      2. Note: Refer to a specific program policy for the date of application used in CalSAWS.

    2. If the Client Does not respond, then 

      1. Attempts to contact the client by phone 2 more times, and holds the incomplete application for 15 calendar days.
  3. Indicates all dates on the paper application when the contact is made.
    1. Keeps the incomplete application in the designated clerical area for 90 days prior to disposing it.
