Incomplete Pending Applications
The following process is for incomplete physical paper applications that are missing essential information, and application registration cannot be completed in CalSAWS.
- Reviews the application and determines if there are missing information and unable to complete application registration in CalSAWS.
- Makes the first attempt to contact the applicant via phone, and
- If the Client Responds, then
- Completes application registration in CalSAWS.

Note: Refer to a specific program policy for the date of application used in CalSAWS.

If the Client Does not respond, then
- Attempts to contact the client by phone 2 more times, and holds the incomplete application for 15 calendar days.
- If the Client Responds, then
- Indicates all dates on the paper application when the contact is made.
- Keeps the incomplete application in the designated clerical area for 90 days prior to disposing it.
