RRB (Railroad Retirement Benefits)
Eligible Persons
Persons who have been employed by a railroad company, railway labor organization, a company under contract to a railroad company, or have performed services in connection with railroad transportation; may be eligible for RRB These individuals will be referred to the Railroad Retirement Board to apply for RRB and must provide proof of their application to the GA office within 10 days.
The widow of a person who was so employed, and who meets one of the following conditions may also be eligible:
- Has reached her 60th birthday and has not remarried.
- Irrespective of age, has not remarried and has in her care or custody a child of the deceased employee who is entitled to receive an annuity.
- A disabled widow may file for benefits at age 50.

The Railroad Retirement Board will make a determination regarding eligibility for benefits. The client may complete the application process by telephone, or in person at the above office.
EWs may obtain Railroad Retirement Benefit information from the Oakland office at the address noted above.
