Case Situation

88 years old female is active under Non-MAGI program in CalSAWS and is terminated in MEDS with DEATH-DT and TERM-DT. EW processes a daily MEDS alert to discontinue the MC benefit in CalSAWS to match MEDS.

Note: MAGI MC can only be discontinued from the following month of the month action taken due to CalHEERS functionality.

1. On the Negative Action Detail page:
   1. Select Person.
   2. Select Deceased from the Negative Action Reason drop down list.
2. Run EBDC and review eligibility results, the affected month(s) should display “Fail” on the Medi-Cal EDBC Summary page.
3. Accept and Save the results.
