1066 - New MEDS-ID Must Be an SSN When Current Is Not an SSN - Reject
This alert is generated when a MEDS-ID change transaction does not contain the client’s SSN and the MEDS record for the reported County-ID already has a pseudo MEDS-ID.
Action Required
The EW must verify that the MEDS record for the MEDS-ID shown with this message is for this client.
- If the MEDS record is for this client and the client does not have an SSN, no further action is needed.
- If the transaction should have reported a SSN for this client, enter the correct SSN on the SSN Detail page and complete the Person Clearance process. This will trigger CalSAWS to generate an EW10 (MEDS-ID Change) transaction to MEDS.
- If the MEDS record is NOT for this client, there is either an incorrect COUNTY-ID reported on this transaction or there is a conflict between the MEDS database COUNTY-ID and the MEDS Cross Reference file.
- If the COUNTY-ID is incorrect, submit a new MEDS-ID change with the correct COUNTY-ID.
- If the COUNTY-ID matches the current MEDS COUNTY-ID, a referral for resolution must be made to the MEDS Coordinator via a GadWIN ticket.
