This alert is generated whenever Social Security reports an SSI/SSP application for an active county client.

The alert is provided for counties who assist clients with their SSI/SSP applications. It is utilized mainly for tracking/advocacy purposes.

Action Required

• Document the pending SSI/SSP application in CalSAWS on the Journal Detail page. 
• If client is receiving General Assistance (GA), agency procedures for Interim Assistance Reimbursement (IAR) must be followed. Refer to GA HB Chapter 12: IAR, for instructions.
