HAPI Add Transactions (Online and Batch)
Online Transactions via MEDS
- Used very infrequently to record the type of HA payment received.
- The EW must complete an SCD 1296 requesting the HA20 transaction.
- Online entry achieves instantaneous update to the Homeless database.
Batch Transactions via the CalSAWS Nightly Batch Process
- Generated when the user has completed the Homeless Assistance List and Detail page in the Non Financial section of the Task Navigation bar.
- CalSAWS will generate an electronic batch transmission nightly through the MEDS interface.
- On the evening following the CalSAWS transaction, the State processes the electronic transmission which updates records on the Homeless database. The following work day (two work days after CalSAWS entry), the HA payment information will be displayed on the Homeless database and may be viewed through a MEDS query.
