Online Inquiries
The latest information available on the Homeless database can be viewed through online MEDS inquiry.
Homeless Program Main Menu
Is used to obtain the Homeless Program Inquiry screen. Is also used by MTOs to generate HA20, HA30 and HA40 transactions. Refer to Clerical HB MEDS Online Transactions, for details on HA online transactions.
To access after signed on to MEDS,
- Click “Clear” button at the bottom of the screen
- Type “HAPI” and press [Enter] to bring up the Homeless Program Main Menu screen.
- Select Option “I” and enter the appropriate SSN and press [Enter]. This will pull up the Homeless Program Inquiry screen.
Note: HOMELESS ASSISTANCE PAYMENT INFORMATION MAY ALSO BE VIEWED VIA THE APPLICANT IEVS MAIN MENU SCREEN (E.G., SELECTING OPTION K). HA PAYMENT DATA HOWEVER ON IEVS IS LIMITED TO THE LAST PAYMENT POSTED TO THE HOMELESS DATABASE. ONLY THE HOMELESS PROGRAM INQUIRY SCREENHOMELESS PROGRAM INQUIRY SCREEN DISPLAYS ALL HA PAYMENTS TO THE RECIPIENT.
Homeless Program Inquiry Screen
- Displays all HA payments issued to a recipient, both temporary and permanent.
- Other data included on this screen are the Authorization Date of each payment as well as the date the payment information was posted to the Homeless database. In addition, the type of payment is displayed in the [TYPE] field, as well as the County Code, Aid Code, Case Serial Number and FBU.
- Click herehere to see the screen on which the 07/01/14 date is the authorization date. The date of 07/08/14 right below is the date the record was transmitted to the database.
Note: IF DATA ON THIS SCREEN IS ERRONEOUS (INCORRECT AUTHORIZATION DATE, HOMELESS PAYMENT POSTED TO INCORRECT SSN, ETC.), THE DATA CAN BE CHANGED OR DELETED VIA A MEDS TRANSACTION. AN SC 1296 MUST BE COMPLETED REQUESTING THE APPROPRIATE HA30 (CHANGE) OR HA40 (DELETE) TRANSACTION. WHILE MTOS CAN GENERATE HA30 TRANSACTIONS, ONLY OMCs CAN GENERATE AN HA40 TRANSACTION.
- If there is no record of an HA payment on the database, the “H702 No Record Found” message will be displayed at the bottom of the Homeless Program Main Menu screen.
