TrustLine (TL) Health & Safety - Prior TL Cleared or In Process

Verification of Application in Process or Cleared

When a client or child care provider claims that they are listed on the TL Registry or have already submitted an application to the Department of Justice (DOJ), the Associate Employment Counselor (AEC)/Employment Counselor (EC) must call the TL California Child Care Resource and Referral Network (CCRRN) at       1-800-822-8490 for verification.

The child care provider’s ID number (Driver’s License number, California DMV ID Card, Driver’s License from any of the 50 states, or Permanent Resident Card Number) is needed. TL will use this number to locate the individual in the database.

If the individual is listed in the TL Registry, then have TL fax a verification letter.

Criminal History Clearance to TL

Follow these steps to verify when a client or child care provider claims that they are on the TL Registry or have already submitted an application to the DOJ:

A. The Client or Provider:

  • Claims to be on TL Registry or in process.

B. The AEC/EC:

  • Verifies by calling the CCRRN toll-free number (1-800-822-8490) and requests a faxed copy of the Cleared TrustLine Provider letter from the CCRRN.
  • Forwards the copy of the Cleared TrustLine Provider letter from the CCRRN and the child care provider registration packet to the Office Designee.

C. The Office Designee:

  • Registers the provider in CalSAWS.
  • Activates the provider.
  • Includes the statement “Cleared TrustLine” and the date that the provider was registered on TL in the Comments field on the Resource Detail page in CalSAWS.
  • Emails the Resource ID # to the AEC/EC.
  • Sends documents to Imaging.

In TL Registry or Application In Process

The AEC/EC must complete a TrustLine Payment Program Change form when a provider who is already registered with TL begins caring for the children of a different family or a different agency is paying child care.

Note: Approach the Office Designee for a copy of the form.

Not Listed in Registry
